Case report #012

I am not sure who operates this web site, I only wish I would have found it earlier.  Usually I do not sound off so easy but I find that I am so angry I could absolutely spit nails.  I have been sick for about 4 years and have the doctors have run every test known to man I believe, pet scans, muscle biopsies, multiple cat scans, my cpk was to high so of course polymyositis  was the answer and of course that was short lived, lymphoma or so they thought, lupus was next and so on and so on. I have none of the above but have to go back every 4 to 6 months for a cat scan and blood work because of swollen lymph glands and expensive blood work on the flo to check out the DNA because it has something showing up on it.

This is 4 years in a very, very condensed paragraph. I have taken MANY antibiotics over my 49 years, since the early 90's I have taken cipro, levaquin, avelox, floxin, especially cipro many times and have experienced muscle pain and weakness every time as well as other symptoms.  I have mentioned this to my doctor in the past but nothing was ever said. I have different doctor now (past year and a half)  I went to visit my daughter last month and became very sick with yet another sinus infection for which I was prescribed avelox and now 5 weeks I feel I have taken 5 steps backward.

My knees and my shoulders are slipping out of place and my neck is moving cracking not to mention the pain again, pretty soon I will require rubberbands to hold them on like those little baby .dolls when I was a little girl.  I can't go shopping alone.  I could go on and on but what is the use.  I have been through this before I only hope that it will diminish as it did before it never went away but I had started to have a life once again.  I wish someone could tell me HOW TO SPEED UP RECOVERY, IF THAT IS POSSIBLE?

But back to the doctor when I went for a follow up and told him about my symptoms I said this always happens with a strong antibiotic and then he explained about fluroquinolones but said it only happens in pediatric patients, but he seemed to think it was possible for adults to have problems

I am so frustrated !!!! Thanks for listening.
